FIGHTING THE UNSEEN
In the midst of the fears, stranded by an array of confusion and rejection I sat forlornly in deep thoughts. 'How did I get here?'  I asked myself severally but had no answer.  In my invisible world of thorns and shackles , I tried to stand and was pushed back unto the rock , so strong a force it was .Thorn into amazement, I tried to stand, once again a strong force pushed me back to the rock, one that felt hot, hotter and hotter and I could no longer sit. I kept wriggling on the rock.
As I thought of how to get out of this mess, a strong wind blew, a threatening hissing sound followed. At first, it made the rock feel cooler but as the hissing sound raged I became frightened. A blur sight of the sky was all that was before me. So hard and firm I managed to gather the strength then I cried out ‘Where is this, how did I get here’. There was nothing I could remember. Then I saw an enormous apparition, surrounded by a cluster of stars,  moving wavily yet at a standstill. “Follow the very white string at the edge of every flower, beyond these rocks you will have to ignore every image that seems to frighten you, and also don’t pay attention to these voices of discouragement that might ring in your mind. To get to the end of this tunnel, you will have to believe in yourself and follow the principles; a deviation of any will cause you to end up in your never dying land of pain." it said.
Now, I tried to stand up and there was nothing holding me back so I set off through the thorns and rocks. Preposterous as it sounded I just had to believe that this is my new world so I have to live in it the way I must. A recurrence of its last words “a deviation of any will cause you to end up in a never dying land of pain”. So I set off following the white strings that looked like a ligule. As I walked through the forest I could see hanging images of skulls and skeleton’s scattered all around. Getting frightened the voice rang again. Tracing the path of the ligule I became lost and could find no ligule but I had not gotten out of the rocky forest, so I tried looking through the weeds and still couldn’t find a ligule. Anxiety grew older and older, quickly flipping through the dry leaves I founded a flower with the ligule, the stem of the flower was broken so it fell off. A great sigh wasn’t enough to express my relief. On and on I walked on, I grew thirsty and hungry, more horrible sights befell me. I saw the tongue of a human, the eyeball and ear hanging in the air without a head. To some of these images I closed my eyes, wished I could go on eyes closed.
Then I came across a heap of dry leaves, I could feel there was something beneath the dry leaves. I could hear the dry leaves fluttering from beneath. Quickly I began to scatter the dry leaves to unveil what was beneath the heap of dry leaves. My suspicion and curiosity grew as I searched deeper. Suddenly, I touched a soft silky cloth, touching deeply my hand caught hold of a human arm. I heard myself scream out loud that I could feel the whole place stare at me. Hurriedly I ran off in fear. I took to my heels and didn’t care where I was heading. So after I had calmed off my nerves, I then remembered the course for which I was there and the voice rang again. Now so scared I knew I had lost track of the ligule. Cast my eyes around and I found a little girl with her hands wrapped around her legs and her jaws on her knee. She closed her eyes so hard and tears trickle down her cheeks. Slowly walking towards her I felt like a thief because I took my steps like one. I touched her and she jumped up terrified. Please don’t kill me she cried. Seeing her weep touched me deep down into my bones. A soft part of my heart filled with compassion. I drew her closer and both of us in fear drew each other closer. Then the apparition appeared again, we both heard ourselves crying out “sorry we missed the course, I don’t want to be here forever, can’t absorb the torture any more”. In a breaking choky voice the apparition told me I had accomplished my mission but I had to carry on with her for a different task. So tight we held each other. We had to help ourselves, now we knew we were safe together.
After, the apparition left, from her chest shone a light, looking at the light we found the direction to take, we took the path and we had a lot coming our way, together we fought that which we could not see with our eyes but in our minds. All along we walked with our eyes closed. So deep into the battle with the disgusting double eyed creatures with slippery bodies, jelly-liked liquid dripping from their bodies. With our backs touching each other round and round together we caused them all to drop dead till the last of them fell, now a light shown from afar, and forced our eyes opened. We turned around and saw ourselves in a peaceful land.
In a land where there was sweet honey, saw kids playing around, women laughing and chatting whiles cooking , men busy at work. A perfect place to be. Just then I realised all these were a dream. What a bright sun that shone outside my window as I thought of the dream.

EVER A PERFECT CLAY POT?

A lump of ordinary clay
The wealth of the potter's day
A heap of the amorphous pile on the floor
The best of creativity yet to explore
Could it be ever perfect?

A smile and a giggle.
A pile of clay to be modeled
The piece of aesthetics
The potter's toil laid to all.
Like the best of decor from the goldsmith's ore.

Your worth is not in your wealth.
Addictive of love in the potter's clay
Immersed with passion in the liquid glaze
You were painted with desire undefined by deeds.
You were embellished with jeweleries, priceless.
A crack on the pot does not diminish its worth.
You are beautiful.

TUG OF WAR

Both hands clenched to the rope
In acute angle their feet drenched in hope
Their mind positioned to oppose
The pulling force from their foes.

The world at large is enormous in size.
But eyes so blind and future eternity dark.
They are the weaker lot.

True believers in dominion.
The fewer size not to signify their might.
For their future eternity is in the light.
And rely on the Holy Spirit to be fortified.

Sin inside them surges, unable to see its consequences
At a time death draws near, the devil leaves them in a lurch.
But if only they will avail themselves to be purged.
Their salvation is not far fetched.

In the tug of war as Christians, let us draw in the unbelievers.
Let our light overshadow their night.
And our might overcome the fight.

In the tug of war as Christians, let our hearts be pure to love.
Let our dedication to Christ not be in half.
That His righteousness we will long to have.

David Bowhen:
It may cost us to toss away our houses, cars, money and lands.
The cost may cause you to lose all of those.
But what if costs you your reputation, position, jobs and ambitions.
Your personality, respect, fame and best intentions.
You will need all that you have for you have all that you need.

We may give a million excuses as to why we cant do certain things for God.
But as believers the one thing we do not have is an excuse.
We have a mighty God who became poor and bruised.
The one thing we do not have is an excuse.
We have the Holy Spirit inhabited in us for God's own use.
The one thing we do not have is an excuse.
We have a sure resurrection, the power of death diffused.
The one thing we do not have is an excuse.
We have the word of God, the greatest of news
The one thing we do not have is an excuse.

To a world full of sin may we be a HOLY NUISANCE!!!!!

SO REFRESHING

An outrageous thumping renders a deeper feel of emptiness
Walking along the shore as the sand rushes  out beneath my feet
Feeling the ecstatic breeze of the wind blowing my mind
I dove into the waters to reach out to its soothing offers
That refreshes and adores the physique in it.
The sun shone at this physique filling it with life as the waves washes down its banality.
Though in a state of partial nudity, there was a stunning feeling of covering.
Water wraparound this physique easing off the stress into sound rest
Feet slapping off the waters in my swimwear.
Arms fling back and forth in progress
What a delightful experience it is swimming

BEAUTY WITHIN AND OUT

She has the beauty of a princess.
Adorned with an outstanding grace
Beauty that reaches beyond the ocean

I turn and turn in my bed.
Rolling from side to side, giggling and twittering.
We had a long chinwag.
She would relax her head on my shoulders after a long laughter.
It made me breath as a king.
The thought of being her refuge enlightened me as I wrap my arms around her.

A savant endowment in her mannerism.
A soothing feel of her body.
Her nature, efficacious in making a home.
A heartbeat changing the world.
Her amity paves way for a cordial reception to all.

Looking into her eyes
I reach out to run my fingers through her hair, absorbing its assuasive offers.
Just then I felt a painful spank on my butts.

'Wake Up!!!!!!!!!!' my sister yelled.
Waking up with one eye,
I realised my hand was in the hair of my sister's doll.
What a lovely dream! Wish I could all day.

THE STRAY WIFE

Proverbs 31: 10
The bedrock of a home.
A WIFE
Her diligence , the hallmark of a husband.
A WIFE
Her character, the pride of a husband.
A WIFE
Her hard work, the fortune of her husband.
A WIFE

The wife has fallen into deep slumber.
She forgets her husband in a pool of friends.
She is in alliance with her husband's enemy.
She dines with her family's foe.
She puts away her ring until she is home.
She exposes to the world what's her husband's own.
The wife who used to call her husband, darling, sweetheart, honey.
Now calls him, hey you, mister, sir.

Wondering who the wife is?
You and I
We are too shy reading the bible in gatherings, our hostels and halls.
We now address God in abbreviation for the fantasy of chatting.
WTG - We thank God
GRBU - God Richly Bless U.
TYLJ - Thank You Lord Jesus.
GIH - God is Here.
He gives us the grace to live another 24 hours.
And we cant use 2 seconds out of that to spell His name in full.
We have no excuse
Because we know the truth.

Our body is the temple of God yet we expose it to the world.
Use your bodies for His glory.
Let your clothing be Holy.
1 Cor 6 : 15.
You know that your bodies are part of the body of Christ.
Shall I take a part of Christ's body and make it part of the body of a prostitute? Impossible!!!
Yet we dress as such.

Too busy yearning for I-pads and tablets
They become our bibles and assets.
Too busy following fashion ignoring its caption.
They become our focus and purpose.
Too busy watching hot gossips and celebrity shows.
We're losing the substance of our existence.

We have forgotten our love.
Just as the wife forgets her husband.
But the husband still loves her.
God still loves us.

You can't love God and dine with satan.
You can't build a relationship with God and establish an affiliation with satan.
You can't seek God first and your heart dwell on wealth.
You can't carry your bible everywhere buy you can carry your i-pads everywhere.

This is the word given.
I can't alter its delivery.
Even if I fall a victim.
God bless you.

THE 21ST CENTURY CHRISTIAN WALK

SIN
Darkness engulfs the christian horizon.
The people of God are drowning in their faith.
Technology, media and fashion trend polluting the Christendom.
Immoral images as the main criteria infesting the Christian's soul with bacteria.
There's not enough love in the church.
1 Corinthians 14:1
The preachers are falling teaching man made ideas
The singers are crawling.
They sing with voice melodious but their hearts are void of the word of God.
The ushers are drowning in their skimpy clothing
The church of God is compromising the word of God.

Adultery and Idolatry
Fornication and Discrimination
Indecency and Jealousy
Slander and Murder
Enviness and Selfishness
Pride and Fights
Are the clothings of the church.
Have the church forgotten, Romans 6:12?

Do we have the ...
Jobs that God will call faithful and good before satan?  Job 1:8
Davids that are courageous to stand in for the Lord before the Goliaths? 1 Sam 17: 45-47
Moses that will lead other weak christians out of bondage, and say to Pharoah let my people go? Exodus 8:1
Joseph's that will overcome temptations, fornication, not even in exchange of position? Gen 39:9
Esthers who will lead their nation into freedom, sacrifice to suffice their liberation?  Esther 7:3
Noahs that God will choose to build His ark in a world full of sin? Gen 7:1

We are the disciples of Christ, we may not be;
crucified in Edessa like Andrew and Jude
beaten and crucified in India like Bartholomew
beheaded like Paul and James
killed like Mathew
dragged to death like Mark
stoned to death like Mathias
hanged on an olive tree like Luke
thrust through with a spear like Thomas.

We do not have these persecutions yet we are sinking.
We want to be like Christ but we do not want to pay the price.
We have the salvation but we dont acknowledge the revelation.
We bow down in anymosity woshipping HIM in hypocrisy.
We speak in tongues but our hearts are full of thorns choking the word of God.

Glory be to God when we fall we can rise.
Revelations 3:2-3
The grace of God is made abundant , let us embrace it in triumph.
Wake up from your sleep and slumber
Accept this gift and surrender.
