Both hands clenched to the rope
In acute angle their feet drenched in hope
Their mind positioned to oppose
The pulling force from their foes.
The world at large is enormous in size.
But eyes so blind and future eternity dark.
They are the weaker lot.
True believers in dominion.
The fewer size not to signify their might.
For their future eternity is in the light.
And rely on the Holy Spirit to be fortified.
Sin inside them surges, unable to see its consequences
At a time death draws near, the devil leaves them in a lurch.
But if only they will avail themselves to be purged.
Their salvation is not far fetched.
In the tug of war as Christians, let us draw in the unbelievers.
Let our light overshadow their night.
And our might overcome the fight.
In the tug of war as Christians, let our hearts be pure to love.
Let our dedication to Christ not be in half.
That His righteousness we will long to have.
David Bowhen:
It may cost us to toss away our houses, cars, money and lands.
The cost may cause you to lose all of those.
But what if costs you your reputation, position, jobs and ambitions.
Your personality, respect, fame and best intentions.
You will need all that you have for you have all that you need.
We may give a million excuses as to why we cant do certain things for God.
But as believers the one thing we do not have is an excuse.
We have a mighty God who became poor and bruised.
The one thing we do not have is an excuse.
We have the Holy Spirit inhabited in us for God's own use.
The one thing we do not have is an excuse.
We have a sure resurrection, the power of death diffused.
The one thing we do not have is an excuse.
We have the word of God, the greatest of news
The one thing we do not have is an excuse.
To a world full of sin may we be a HOLY NUISANCE!!!!!
